Upload your data
The Zephras addon records the NPCs you meet. Send its save file here and what it shows joins the database.
No addon yet? Get Zephras Collector on CurseForge, or let the Zephras Uploader install it with one button and keep it up to date.
- 1
Log out or /reload
The game writes the addon's file only when you log out or reload the interface.
- 2
Find the file
World of Warcraft\_classic_beta_\WTF\Account\<account>\SavedVariables\ZephrasCollector.lua
On a Mac the game folder is usually /Applications/World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_.
- 3
Upload it
Sign in with Battle.net and pick the file. The sign-in ties each upload to one account, so one person cannot pose as many; Zephras sees only your BattleTag.
Your first file waits for a reviewer. After that, a clean file is accepted automatically; a file the checks question waits for a reviewer. Accepted is not yet published: a record appears at the next morning's update once a trusted player or two players agree.

Checking sign-in…
Or let the uploader do it
The Zephras Uploader installs the Zephras addon for you (Install the addon), keeps it up to date, finds the file by itself, and can upload it every time you log out.
With Share quest and NPC cache ticked, it also sends the cache the game keeps of what its server told you: quest text, objectives, and rewards, and NPC and object names. That fills in quests no game file holds. It is on unless you untick it. Setup, updates, and questions about the app: Zephras Uploader.

Zephras is a free project and does not pay for code signing, so the first start asks once. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC": click More info, then Run anyway; it installs for your user only. Mac: open the disk image, drag the app to Applications, then right-click it and choose Open the first time. Linux: install the .deb (for example sudo apt install ./ZephrasUploader-0.10.0-amd64.deb), or make the AppImage executable and run it (only the AppImage updates itself); then point the app at the game folder inside your Wine or Lutris prefix. From 0.6.0 the app can update itself: see App updates in the app.
To check a download is genuine, compare its SHA-256 (Windows PowerShell: Get-FileHash; Mac and Linux: shasum -a 256) with the one under the button; choosing another system shows its own.
Zephras reads the file as data and never runs it. Uploading again is safe: an identical file is stored once. See Privacy for what is kept.
